Fruit Salad @ Jonathan T's
The best fruit salad anywhere and the price, amazing. Of course, the owners are family friends ever that I've known since my birth. They're super cool (although Kev and Bernice may think me funny to say that!). Auntie Lisa always ensures that her customers are all taken care of while Uncle Simon does magic in the kitchen. All the food is feel good comfort food, and the prices are hard to match. Everything is made in store (including their fresh bagels and yummy oatmeal cookies, roast beef for beef dips and turkey for their clubhouse) and everything is health conscious. My fav is always the fruit salad they prepare because it has no less than 10 fruits, including:
cantelope
honeydew
watermelon
grapes
kiwi
strawberries
mango
orange
grapefruit
banana
pear
plum
blueberries (if in season)
The location will be closing this December so hurry there while you can. Let them know Renee sent you, and send a smile their way for me.

Fruit of some kind of rose, near creek
These fruits, beautifully red, were growing off California 79, next to a small creek, between Interstate 8 and Julian, CA. Judging by the appearance of the fruit and the leaves, they must have been from some member of the rose family. You can see some sepals on top of the fruit. There's a spider (?) thread in the photo. Larger sizes available.
